LEARN ABOUT OUR SITES:
180 House - Our teen only location that partners with Youth for Christ. This location is special because the space is completely designed with the students in mind. This location serves students from some of the poorest achieving middle and high schools in Manatee County as well as partnering with the Department of Juvenile Justice to aide teens in completing work needed. Our 180 House location loves to tells teens they can achieve anything they set their minds too!
Bayshore Gardens Community Church - Our Southern most location in Bradenton. This location walks across the street to pick up students from Bayshore Elementary School to help parents with transportation. Last year, volunteers made devotionals interactive by acting out Bible stories that taught students how to see Jesus throughout the Old Testament. Our Bayshore Gardens location loves to celebrate birthdays and teach students the meaning of their names!
Exodus Resource Center - Our newest location opened in the Fall of 2023 right down the road from LECOM Park. This location is unique in being situated in a strip center where the building is used to spread hope to the neighborhood. We are already seeing an increase in student numbers as well as reading proficiency. Our Exodus students love to present their work out loud to gain leadership and confidence!
First Baptist Church - Our location that sits in the heart of downtown Bradenton. We love this location because students come from all over Bradenton to receive the academic support they need. This location inspired the high school intern program because of the Manatee High Key Club Volunteers who exceeded expectations in their aide with students. Our First Baptist location loves to teach students Bible verses that they can encourage themselves with daily!
Oneco Hope Global Methodist Church - This location has an incredible relationship with Oneco Elementary School which is one of the schools in Bradenton where less than 30% of students are at grade level proficiency. Because this location is situated directly across the street from Oneco Elementary, we have seen students stop into the church when Avenue was not in session to say hi to the staff and grab a snack. The head pastor comes over and leads devotionals with the students every Thursday really giving a connection to the church population with our students. Our Oneco Hope location serves so many sibling groups across K-12th grade and loves to work on reading with the students!
RendezVous Christ Church - Our location that serves our Haitian immigrant population. Volunteers speak Creole as well as English to really help the transition into new schools for those coming from Haiti. Students have asked volunteers if this location can stay open year round because they love coming to Avenue941 so much. Students have thrived academically and it's made major impact on entire families by seeing them plugged into community. Our RendezVous location loves to sing and dance with their students!
Resonate Life Church - Our first ever location! Resonate Life loves the community and has tons of events that they invite students too. Resonate Life has a van that picks up students from Lee Middle School which provides some of the most impactful moments as they really process their day during the ride. Resonate Life also supports students from different ministries in Bradenton. While their parents gain support, we're able to support the students with their needs. Our Resonate Life location loves to teach life lessons through the art of play!
