South Fraser Search and Rescue
Over fifty times last year we got the call: at noon, at two in the morning, it doesn't matter. Someone needed help.
We were there to respond. Every time.
Imagine the relief you would feel when we were able to tell you your mother or father suffering from dementia was found alive after two days outside. It's priceless.
But we can't do it alone - training, equipment and supplies cost significant amounts of money. The costs of equipping a single searcher with essential gear is in excess of $1,500. Ensuring all our members have current first aid certifications is a $5,000 annual expense.
Training Daisy to become a certified search dog is hundreds of hours per year and thousands of dollars. Why do we do it? Because you matter!
