Southern Irrigation - Malawi 2026

Southern Irrigation is travelling to Malawi in January 2026. In partnership with Timotheos Foundation Malawi and Hungry For Life the team of 11 staff members will continue the work on the agricultural fields at Timotheos Child Care Centers. 

Using their irrigation expertise, the team will work on finding African solutions in Southern Malawi where extreme drought in the dry season and intense rain in the rainy season adds extra challenges. 

With Southern Irrigation's support, the Timotheos Foundation can improve agricultural output and when the fields start producing more crops, it will instantly create an income flow for the Child Care Center. 

The funds raised will go towards the following projects: 

- $12,000 - Drip irrigation expansion at Chikumugire

- $10,000 - Timotheos Malawi Operational support for project

- $7,500 - maintenance and improvements at Chikumugire

- $5,000 - Child Center Children's programs

- $2,500 - Shade nursery and seeding greenhouse expansion

- $2,000 - water points to Pastor, Matron, Kitchen and Garden at Nyamithuthu

- $1,000 - Blantyre garden project.

100% of the donations go directly towards these projects in Malawi.
