South Whidbey School Farms
The South Whidbey School Farms program grows fresh organic produce for the school lunches, culinary classes, school events, and for the students to eat on the spot in their farm-based classes. The farm and culinary program teaches over 100 classes per month, with over 2000 student visits/month, grades K-12. The students learn science through the farm-based classes, while also gaining skills in growing food. The culinary education program teaches the students healthy nutrition while they learn how to prepare and eat the food they grow.
