SolidariTee’s first Scotland-focused conference will take place on Thursday 11th May at St Andrew’s University Student Association. We’ll be thinking about integration and inclusion: how we can use shared learning to move past outdated ideas to uphold the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland and beyond. We’ll be hearing from a range of experts, including academics and those working in the charity and NGO sector. This conference will be a great opportunity to speak to those currently working in the refugee support sector, as well as to meet like-minded students committed to working for sustainable, long-term change.

The conference will begin with complementary refreshments and time for networking at 11:30, and our first speaker will begin at approximately 1pm. We suggest a £5 donation per person, but you're also very welcome to attend free of charge if you aren't able to donate at this time: please email outreach@solidaritee.org.uk to reserve a free ticket.

Speakers include:

Jane Critchley Salmonson - director of Firefly International, and Vice-Chair of Humanitarian Emergencies Foundation

Hera Jay Brown - founder & executive director of Sanctuarium, University of Oxford Rhodes Scholar
Alexa Netty - CEO of SolidariTee & finance officer at Disasters Emergency Committee

We look forward to seeing you soon!
