Soles of the Flathead- Aaron and Carrie McPherson

Aaron ives in Whitefish with his wife of 19 years and 4 children (one is out of the house) . He is the president of The Gateway of Hope, a Christian discipleship and mentoring ministry for men coming out of rehab or incarceration. In a past life he owned a moving and storage company. You might run into him at a coffee shop or see him around the gym. This year he is growing in God’s grace to Love people who can’t Love him back. This is why the mission of the Warming Center speaks to him and why he wanted to support them. Loving those who can’t return the favor. Just like Jesue who demonstrated Love by giving his life for us while we were still sinners.

A 20 year transplant from Texas, Carrie meet her husband of 19 years while eating at one of Kalispell’s finest eating establishments “The Montana Nugget”. She spends her weeks taking care of 4 kids and substitute teaching when she can.

She enjoys listening to true-crime podcasts, walking and watching sports highlights on you tube, wait that’s what her kids watch. Carrie supports The Warming Center because she believes it’s a part of the solution for helping those who need a place to stay. One size does not fit all, but the Warming Center is a size that fits some and she is glad it’s here.

The Flathead Warming Center saves lives and LINKs our unhoused neighbors to the tools and resources needed to move beyond homelessness. 

Soles of the Flathead is a local star-studded dance competition to raise the funds needed to care for our neighbors. Whether we are talking about "soles" or "souls", one thing's for sure, "We take care of each other in the Flathead."
