Soldado Raso

Soldado Raso is a 20 minute drama film created by Cynthia Garcia (director) and Andrew Baer (producer).

Mateo, a 19 year old Mexican lettuce farmer in 1970s California, enlists for the Vietnam War with hopes of proving his manliness to his father. Soldado Raso is based on true events and confronts machismo, war, and pride with the goal of creating beautiful art and telling a powerful story.

Soldado Raso shoots in early November and is slated for release in Spring 2019.
