Goal

Why Solar Panels?

This past winter changed everything for us.

Freezing temperatures came together with long and unpredictable blackouts. What started as hours without electricity turned into days — and sometimes even weeks. One after another, power plants across Ukraine were damaged or completely destroyed by Russian attacks.

Electricity stopped being something we could rely on.
But the mission didn’t stop.

At YWAM Kyiv, our campus is more than a building. It is a place where people are trained, where teams are sent out, and where hope is actively carried into the darkest places across Ukraine.

That’s why we are taking a step forward.

We are raising $87,000 to install a solar energy system that will allow our campus to run autonomously — independent, stable, and resilient even during blackouts.

This is not just an upgrade.
This is a necessary shift.

Solar energy will allow us to:
 • Keep our campus running during outages
. Keep our electricity cost affordable
 • Continue training and equipping people
 • Sustain outreach and mercy projects
 • Send volunteers across Ukraine without interruption

It means stability in uncertainty.
It means light in moments of darkness.

This next winter does not have to look like the last one.
