Stamp NC Blue / SNCB PAC 2020:
We Need Help to Keep the Lights On!
Stamp NC Blue, an affiliate of SNCB PAC, has been sending postcards to registered NC voters since 2018. In the past 18 months, we've reached out to more than 25,000 registered NC voters encouraging them to vote.
We are committed to finishing what we started but are facing a tough reality regarding our actual costs to do our work (printing & stamping postcards + getting them out to our volunteers who write them) and "keeping the lights on" (the real but unexciting costs of doing business).
We started with a solid budget for our 2020 project using projected expenses based on our past experience. However, some of our costs this time around were more than they had been in the past. And, due to the unexcepted but very welcome court decision that stopped the need for voter photo ID for the March 3, 2020 primary - we encountered some truly unpredictable additional costs.
As for "keeping the lights on" - well, these are the costs that few people like to talk about or contribute to because they are just so boring. We have very modest on-going expenses (website domain, website hosting, secure email and document storage, and some maintenance bank fees) but they do add up. And in 2019 they added up more than we had expected and left us with less than we need for 2020.
If we can raise $5,000, we will have enough to make it through the November 3, 2020 general election with a small but comfortable cushion in case anything else unexpected comes up.
