The Snack Sack Donations
Since being founded in April of 2020, The Snack Sack has raised over $100K to support Black and Brown families facing food insecurity, medical discrimination, violence, poverty, and other consequences of systemic racism - all because of the color of their skin.
The Snack Sack works to meet immediate needs caused by roadblocks or inherent racial discrimination in government and nonprofit systems. From sending snacks directly to families to paying for rent to providing funds for medications, shelter, and more, the volunteer team led by Chamieka's first-hand insight supports families with relief and peace of mind through direct giving initiatives.
Donations made to The Snack Sack are distributed on an as-needed basis. In situations where the campaign goal / need is surpassed, excess funds are distributed at The Snack Sack's discretion.
