Smile Drinks is the first black owned beverage company in Massachusetts! We offer a line of healthy juices that are preservative free, all-natural and vegan! We currently have five flavors with plans to release three more in 2022.
Smile Drinks started in an apartment as a concept to change the juice industry. The only thing that was planned was the recipes and flavors of the drinks. However, we did NOT plan for the extensive financial aspect that it takes to start/run a beverage company. Business has taken off much faster than expected and we are unable to keep up with the demand.
The business is doing extremely well but we cannot continue to do it without additional support. Unfortunately banks are extremely stingy when handing out loans to businesses in the startup stages. In order to supply the demand at the rate that it is coming in, we need to purchase a large amount of inventory as well as additional equipment to expedite the process of making juice. Our current setup has us filling every bottle by hand, as well as labeling and packaging. At this stage of business we are producing about 2000 bottles a week. We could easily double or triple that if we were able to purchase more labelers, additional kitchen appliances and two more fillers. With this support we plan to buy a surplus of inventory so we can continuously make juice without traveling to our vendor locations week after week to pick up the supplies ourselves.
We are a small team of two, and sometimes even one. With this support we will be able to grow into hiring employees which will provide jobs and allow us to give back more to our community. We thank you in advance and don't forget to share a smile!
