Simply The Best - Tribute to Tina Turner
Celebrating the Life, Legacy & Music of Tina Turner & Women’s Empowerment & Domestic Violence Awareness Initiative Through Theater
We use live stage performances and community engagement to open conversations around menopause, women’s health, and life transitions. Seeking sponsorship partners to bring this initiative to communities nationwide.
Who We Are
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theater organization producing socially impactful stageplays for over 10 years.
We have created 10 original productions focused on real community issues, including:
- Women’s Health & Menopause
- Domestic Violence & Women Empowerment
- Black History, Women’s History and Cultural Identity
- Breast Cancer & STDs
- Suicide Awareness
- Addiction and Recovery
Our work has earned recognition from the NAACP Theatre Awards.
We have been supported by House of Ruth for our Domestic Violence Awareness.
We combine storytelling with community engagement to spark awareness, dialogue, and healing.
The Problem
Domestic Violence affects millions of women—but it is still widely under-discussed in public conversation, workplaces, and communities.
This silence leads to:
- Lack of education and awareness
- Emotional isolation
- Workplace misunderstanding
- Limited access to support resources
Women are experiencing this stage of life without the conversation and support they deserve.
The Solution
Simply The Best is more than a stageplay.
It is a theater-based community health initiative designed to:
- Educate through storytelling
- Open safe spaces for conversation
- Reduce stigma around domestic violence
Connect audiences to dialogue and resources Each performance is followed by:
- Community talkbacks
- Facilitated discussions
- Engagement with local partners
Why Theater Works
Unlike traditional health messaging, theater:
- Creates emotional connection
- Encourages openness and dialogue
- Reaches audiences who may not engage with clinical messaging
- Builds shared understanding through lived experience storytelling
This is where awareness becomes real conversation.
Impact & Experience
Over the past decade, our productions have:
- Reached live community audiences across multiple cities
- Addressed sensitive and underserved topics
- Built consistent audience engagement through independent production
