Since 2011, SHIFT Enterprise Academy has been on a mission to lift as we climb.

Founded by Ethan Brisby, a visionary entrepreneur from small-town Texas, SHIFT began as a college readiness program. Over the years, it evolved, first into a first-time homebuyer initiative, then into a launchpad for startups and small business owners. From Central Texas to East Africa, SHIFT has stayed true to its calling: to educate, equip, and empower.

Today, SHIFT Enterprise Academy is expanding once more. We are becoming a bridge between the African diaspora and the continent. We’re building an ecosystem where education, entrepreneurship, travel, and legacy intersect. Whether it’s preparing youth for the future, helping families own property, or guiding entrepreneurs in Kenya, Uganda, and beyond, SHIFT is creating pathways that connect people to purpose, opportunity, and each other.
