Shamatha Meditation Retreat

Venerable Lama Losang Samten welcomes the Philadelphia Buddhist Association sangha to join the Chenrezig Tibetan Buddhist Center sangha for a Shamatha meditation retreat.
Venerable Lama Losang Samten is the spiritual director for the Chenrezig Tibetan Buddhist Center of Philadelphia and has been sharing teachings of loving-kindness, joy and compassion, as well as the path to enlightenment for over 30 years. To learn more about Lama Losang, please visit Losang Samten
As Lama Losang explained in his book, Ancient Teaching in Modern Times, “This form of meditation aims to provide the means to develop a single-pointed mind, which is the ability to focus on one image without being distracted. To achieve this single-pointedness, stability of mind and clarity are essential.” He goes on to say; “mental stability is very important, not only in meditation, but in everyday life.”
In this retreat, Lama Losang will provide us with the tools for cultivating calm abiding, with time to practice.
