Shabbat Dinner Sponsorship

‍‍‍Will You Spon‍‍‍sor a Shabbat?

YOU GIVE THEM A JEWISH HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

Shabbat Dinner at Chabad of Franklin & Marshall is our flagship program. We started offering Shabbat dinners upon request of two families in 2006. Students enjoy a four-course home cooked dinner complete with home-baked challah,  sparkling grape juice, and steaming chicken matzah ball soup.

Shabbat lunch is a program we started offering in 2009 upon the request of students! Students enjoy challah, gefilte fish, a buffet of lunch foods and hot & delicious cholent (special stew).Shabbat is a day of rest and celebration. At Chabad, students use this time to connect with each other, building and enhancing the Jewish community and their Jewish identity.‍‍‍

When you sponsor a Shabbat you are giving more than a meal. Students stay at the table for hours, often late into the night. They listen to inspirational Jewish wisdom‍‍‍, participate in stimulating discussion, sing lively songs, and build meaningful connections. You give students an experience rich with meaning.

You give them Shabbat.
