The situation in Gaza has escalated dramatically, affecting millions of internally displaced persons (IDPs). MedGlobal is at the forefront, providing essential healthcare services under these dire circumstances, but our resources are stretched to their limit.

Critical Healthcare Provision:

MedGlobal's strategy targets the dire healthcare needs of nearly 1.9 million IDPs, focusing on maternal and child health, primary care, nutrition, trauma care, and mental health. In Rafah alone, our Primary Health Clinic has served over 11,859 patients in a single month. Despite these efforts, a significant gap in antenatal care persists, with plans to expand services urgently needed.

Rising Malnutrition and Disease:

Our teams have identified alarming rates of acute malnutrition among children under five, with 254 suffering from moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) and 66 from severe acute malnutrition (SAM). Additionally, we have been instrumental in detecting outbreaks of Hepatitis A and Acute Watery Diarrhea (AWD), which pose further threats to this vulnerable population.

Overwhelmed Facilities and Staffing:

Our medical facilities, including the newly constructed Nutrition Stabilization Center and Medical Access Points across Rafah, are overwhelmed. We are receiving over 5000+ patients on a daily basis. Despite our dedicated staff's efforts, the demand far exceeds our current capacity.
