Hi friends & family!! My name is Serene Sun and God has given me this opportunity to serve others in another continent: Africa!
Ever since I was young, I have had a heart to serve God by serving others. 5th grade was when I was first exposed to washing the feet of others by helping refugees settle into the United States. Since then, I have found so much joy in sharing God's love towards everyone. I am very excited for this next opportunity that God has given me to serve Him in the bush of Zambia, Africa.
Around the middle of October 2023, God told me that He was going to send me to Africa. I was so excited but assumed it would not be until I graduated college. About a week later, He told me it would be really soon. Then in the beginning of November 2023, my friend shared about this trip with me. I knew immediately that this was where God wanted me to go.
I will be going with an organization called Trail Missions. We will be evangelizing hut-to-hut in the rural bush of Zambia. We'll be sharing the Gospel and our personal testimonies. There will be beautiful encounters with the Lord, divine healings, and moments of intercession. At the end of this trip, we will get to see a new church be birthed in the village we evangelized to. The leaders of this church will be discipled by leaders at Trail Missions so that they can then go and disciple others.
