KEEP THE GAI FLAME BURNING BRIGHT!
Dear Supporter of the Greek American Institute, thank you for visiting this page.
The Greek American Institute, (GAI), founded in 1912, has stood as a place of learning, growth, and community. Generations of students have walked these halls, inspired by a legacy of
excellence and tradition. GAI is not only a school, a building of brick and mortar- it is a part of who we are, our identity. It is a part of our soul. It is a cornerstone of Hellenic heritage and Orthodox faith in America. Generations of students have graduated, fluent in Greek and English, academically prepared and grounded in the values of our faith and culture. Many alumni have gone on to be leaders in business, academia, and public service, carrying forward what began at GAI. The Institute also comprises non-Greek children, who have embraced the Greek Language & culture and the Greek Orthodox faith.
For the past few years, we have recognized the changes in the Bronx community and the challenges we have had to face. Shifts in demographics and the enrollment numbers present both obstacles and opportunities for us to reflect, adapt, and grow.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward critical operating expenses, faculty support, and essential repairs to our aging facility. Most importantly, it will help ensure that students continue to receive the same quality education that shaped so many of our lives.
On behalf of the School Board, we sincerely thank you for your support.
