Losing your family should not equate to losing out on a productive future. Yet this seems to be the case with foster youth. When compared to the general population, they are 11 times more likely to experience homelessness and 6 times more likely to spend time in prison. It doesn’t have to be this way!
We believe higher education - be it college or trade school - is the way to break this cycle. Yet today, only 3% graduate from college. Bravo Programs of America awards scholarships to deserving foster youth. And we actively participate in their support network to help them cross the graduation finish line. Look at what they’ve accomplished:
