Donate to Southern Reins' Scholarship Fund
For many families caring for an individual with disabilities, countless doctors’ appointments, medications, and therapies can take a financial toll. Parents are faced with difficult decisions as they look for effective and safe activities for their children. The Southern Reins Scholarship Fund was established to ensure that the equine-assisted services we provide are accessible to all in our community, regardless of financial hardship.
Through the healing power of horses, people with Down syndrome tone their muscles to help them sit taller in the saddle which builds strength and endurance to improve their daily life activity outside of the arena. Individuals with autism learn how to follow multiple-step instructions while improving verbal and nonverbal communication. Riders with Cerebral Palsy gain greater control of their muscles to accomplish complex tasks that help them gain independence on and off the horse. Through the generosity of friends like you, Southern Reins has awarded 226 scholarship awards since 2015.
Your donation today to the Southern Reins Scholarship Fund will help more children and adults experience the power of working with horses. Your generosity can change lives. . . one ride at a time. Thank you.
