Saving Sol - Our Little Ray of Sunshine

Found by Es Castell local police after being hit by a car on the main road. He was so badly injured the policemen couldn't bear to look at him. The Police knocked on Janice's door at 7:30 am to ask for her help. They surrounded him with road cones and Janice picked him up and took him to the vets.

It was an emergency vet visit and the odds were not looking good as he had severe head injuries. One eye had to be removed and the other was stitched up to heal, and he underwent an operation to repair his palette that had been split in two. It took two months of hospitalisation. The Vet and his nurse named him Sol because they said 'he is like a little ray of sunshine'. And this is true if you are lucky enough to meet this special fella, you can see he is so happy to be alive.

Sol is now living at home with Janice slowly recovering with  TLC and the help of very expensive recovery food. He eats a lot (2 tins a day).
