SAVING RUDY

 CALLING ALL HEROES PLEASE HELP 

HELP US SAVE RUDY!  

Our Hero Rudy has fallen sick and is hospitalized fighting for his life!  Everything was so sudden and quickly worsened. He started with a decreased appetite, then his energy declined, and he became lethargic. Michele rushed him to the vet and they discovered he had an abscess in the innermost part of his leg. While he was in observation and undergoing more tests, it burst and doctors said they needed to operate immediately to save his life. He was in danger of going septic.  

They don’t know what the root or cause of this wound is. It could’ve been a traveling foxtail or an old injury that has flared up. Rudy wasn’t well cared for by the family that surrendered him to our care. He was kicked out to roam the streets every day and it’s hard to know if he might’ve gotten hurt out there. We also treated him for a UTI when we onboarded him on day 1.  

We didn’t have a chance to prepare financially as this was an unexpected situation. We asked for an estimate and our hearts sank when we saw the amount! $4002.43 that we don’t have!  This can potentially close our doors and disable us from continuing our rescue efforts.
