Saving Goose

I’m not going to lie, when the emergency vet called about Goose, my stomach sank. Not because he’s just a baby facing unimaginable odds. Not because his condition is life-threatening and the surgery he needs is so expensive. It was the weight of knowing we were his last chance.

Goose’s owners had no other options. The cost of saving his life was too much, and euthanasia was the only answer they could afford. But when the vet asked if we could step in, how could we say no? He’s just a puppy—a life that’s barely begun. A life that’s worth fighting for. So, we said yes.

We don’t know much about Goose’s story, but what we do know is that it’s far too soon for it to end. The moment we agreed to take him, we knew the road ahead would be steep. His condition, intussusception, is complex and deadly without immediate intervention. The surgery alone costs $8,000, and that doesn’t even touch the follow-up care he’ll need to recover fully.

But here’s the thing about Goose: even in the face of all this, he’s still wagging his tail. He’s still fighting. And because he’s not giving up, neither will we.

We need your help. There’s no sugarcoating it—this is going to be an uphill battle, but with you in our corner, we know we can get him through it. Every donation adds up to a chance for this little guy to live the life he deserves.

Goose’s story is just beginning. It’s a story of resilience, hope, and the belief that every life is worth saving. Let’s make sure it’s a story with a happy ending. Thank you for helping us fight for him. ❤️
