A Lifeline for Mira and Samira

In Gaza, five-month-old Mira and Samira Fuju arrived at MedGlobal’s Nutrition Stabilization Center severely malnourished, too young for standard treatment protocols. Our team developed a specialized nutrition plan, helping them gain over 1.5 kg in just four visits. Today, they are recovering—because of urgent, adaptable medical care made possible by donors like you.

Maryam’s Fight Against Malnutrition in Syria

After losing her husband, a dedicated nurse, Maryam was determined to continue his legacy. Now part of MedGlobal’s nutrition team in northern Syria, she works tirelessly to save malnourished children—all while raising four children of her own, displaced by war.

Recently, she began treating six-month-old Sarah, whose mother had no idea she was malnourished. Thanks to MedGlobal’s screenings of 26,115 children and treatment of 876 malnutrition cases in recent months, children like Sarah now have a fighting chance.

With a ceasefire in Gaza and the war in Syria having ended, MedGlobal is rapidly shifting its focus to rebuilding healthcare systems in both regions. This means:
