Goal
This month, we're raising funds to help cover a combination of emergency treatment, community welfare work, and preventative healthcare provided to dogs who depended on us during the first months of the year.
One of the highlights of the period was our first Community Day, during which local dogs received rabies vaccinations. Community dogs are often overlooked in animal welfare discussions, yet simple preventative measures can have a significant impact on both canine welfare and public health. We hope this will be the first of many such initiatives.
The fundraiser will also help support the treatment of a dog who suffered serious injuries following an accident involving industrial machinery. Cases like this remind us that rescue work is often unpredictable. When a dog is injured, treatment cannot wait until funds are available. Decisions have to be made immediately, and we rely on the support of our community to help make that possible.
Alongside this, we are seeking support towards the cost of preventative healthcare provided between January and April. During that period, dogs including Cesur, Papatya, Henry, Rüzgar, Gül, Princess, Yaman, Sarı, Patch, Grace, Stella, Bidik, Sedef and Ozzy received essential vaccinations, parasite protection and routine healthcare.
Some of these dogs have since moved on to different pathways, while others remain under our care. Preventative healthcare may not be the most visible aspect of rescue work, but it is one of the most important. It helps prevent suffering before it starts and gives dogs the best possible chance of remaining healthy, especially in large group environments.
Every donation will help us meet these costs and continue providing practical, welfare-focused support to vulnerable dogs.
Thank you for helping us stand beside them when they need it most.
I haven't included images of the dog who needed emergency care as they are too upsetting. However you can find them here
