Samos Volunteers ist eine BasisOrganisation, die Geflüchtete und Asylsuchende auf der griechischen Insel Samos unterstützt. Ein Team von Freiwilligen aus aller Welt bietet psychosoziale Betreuung und informelle Bildung an.

Seit fast einem Jahrzehnt engagiert sich Samos Volunteers für die Gemeinschaft auf Samos.

In den vergangenen Monaten sah sich die Organisation mit erheblichen finanziellen Herausforderungen konfrontiert. Da sich die öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit anderen Themen zuwandte und die finanziellen Mittel in Griechenland immer knapper wurden, gingen die Spenden drastisch zurück, während der Bedarf auf Samos weiterhin hoch blieb.

Private Spenden spielen nach wie vor eine wesentliche Rolle dabei, diese Arbeit aufrechtzuerhalten und diese Einrichtungen für die Gemeinschaft offen zu halten.

Jeder Beitrag unterstützt Fürsorge, Solidarität und Würde auf Samos.

Samos Volunteers is a grassroots NGO supporting refugees and asylum seekers on the Greek island of Samos. A team of volunteers from all over the world provides psycho-social support and informal education.

For nearly a decade, Samos Volunteers has provided their services for the community on Samos.

Over the past months, the organisation has faced significant financial challenges. As public attention shifted elsewhere and funding in Greece became increasingly scarce, donations decreased drastically while needs on Samos remained high.

Private donations continue to play an essential role in sustaining this work and keeping these spaces open for the community.

Every contribution supports care, solidarity, and dignity on Samos.
