Initiate Kindness is launching an event in Athens on 18/01/2025 to fundraise for Samos Volunteers! 

Samos Volunteers is a grassroots NGO supporting refugees and asylum seekers on the Greek island of Samos. A team of volunteers from all over the world provides psycho-social support, informal education, and clothes and shoes.

Your donation goes directly to fund Samos Volunteers' services, which continuously adapt to the changing needs of the community on the island. 

Alpha Centre is our safe, dignified, and creative space for everyone. It is the go-to community space for people living in the refugee camp. 

Right next door, we have our Free Shop, where people are invited to come and choose the clothing and shoes they feel most comfortable in.

At Alpha Land, only a five-minute walk from the camp, we offer informal education, such as language classes, as well as workshops. We run sports activities, art and music workshops, and a gardening project.

We also support the LGBTQI+ community and offer a women's space.
