As someone who runs community based groups (online in Covid), my work reaches and benefits thousands of pregnant and birthing women, people and families. These have become a more than full time role.
I facilitate the large Home Birth Support Group UK, the Freebirth And Emergency Childbirth Support Group UK and a number of other pregnancy and alternative smaller groups and due in groups, moving into positive parenting and supporting women and families in their life and parenting journey, in The Village, as well as awareness raising and campaigning through, They Said To Me and The Birth Activist podcast.
These groups and my time help support national and local communities and are a beautiful online community helping thousands of families a year.
My community support goes way beyond what is visible online - sometimes it is covering postage costs, gifts to people in need, free support, or free places on my paid groups and courses. Your donations help facilitate this and the constant support I provide through groups.
Running these groups and pages takes time and energy, their content is vital to so many and all donations help enable me to continue this important work. If you would like to support me in this, and so support women and birthing people, please consider making a one off or regular donation, from £2, all of which are received with thanks and enable me to continue my activism and support in the birth world while supporting my family.
I also love the words and messages you leave me - they mean the world to me.
You are able to download a beautiful sacred pregnancy art colouring page as a thank you - Sacred Pregnancy Art - Jewel In The Lotus Flower Colouring Page
With love and brightest blessings.

Finding your group helped me be empowered in my choices at every stage. I didn't get my homebirth, but I felt confident waiting for spontaneous labour to begin all the way to 43+3 and birthed in the Birth Centre out of guidance supported by the consultant midwife. Reading the stories of all the other post-dates mums made me feel normal and inspired.

Earning a decent living to do what you love is admirable and inspirational. Women's work should absolutely be paid work. I'm donating a little more than the £2 a month because I can afford to, so I'm paying it forward for someone who cannot.

Your home birth group has been no end of support and a source of valuable information and encouragement. At 20 weeks I’m so confident about my birth and knowledgable about my rights thanks to your incredible group. I will donate more as and when - keep posting your donation link.

Wouldn’t have had my successful home birth without the positive impact of your Facebook group and the knowledge it gave me

You might not remember me but about 3 years ago I used your free chat with Sam service after an unplanned pregnancy which I was terrified of the birth. Your validation was phenomenal. First person to listen to my story and agree it never should have happened like that. Sadly I was too far away to hire you as a doula but I did get one and had a magically non traumatising birth and my beautiful little girl is 2 1/2 now. You were the first person that made me believe I could do it. I hope this donation goes a little way to helping you be there for the next woman like me

Just a little token of my appreciation for the home birth Facebook group. I honestly don’t think I would have had a successful homebirth without the support ❤️

Thank you Sam for running the Homebirth group and for your Freebirth Course. I had my third birth recently and without the information and support you and the people on your groups provide it wouldn't have been the homebirth of my dreams. The NHS midwives and consultants wanted me to birth in hospital with a cannula and hands on management due to having a high intervention 1st labour that led to a pph (in spite of having a hands off water birth with no pph for 2nd baby). They listed me as birthing at home against medical guidelines. Thanks to your group and support, I was able to make informed decisions at every stage, from declining a GTT at 35weeks, to deciding what medicines I wanted to use postpartum. I never felt pressured or judged by the group but was incredibly coerced and manipulated by NHS staff. My community midwife was clearly under immense pressure from the hospital to induce me and have me agree to scans and tests, stating 'they'll want you to' or even 'you can't have a homebirth unless'. Thank you for helping me unpick the truth from the lies, fact from scaremongering. Your support and group left me feeling empowered and like I wasn't alone in wanting a normal physiological uneducated birth. Your constant reassuring and badass presence is inspiring and I don't know when you find the time to sleep! Thank you x
