Sam & Maud Turner & Carole Ann Turner ​Memorial Fund

Mr. Turner was employed at Beckley National Bank, now Chase, for 46 years, retiring as Vice President and serving on the Board of Directors from 1972 until his death in 1990. His wife Maud provided for this fund in her will and their daughter Carole Anne Turner, a dedicated educator, directed a large testamentary gift to be added to this scholarship as well. Income from this endowment will provide renewable scholarships for Raleigh county students pursuing an accredited post HS education.
