Salimah Jasani for Baltimore City School Board

Hi! I'm Salimah, a former Baltimore City Public Schools special education teacher and a current community member, volunteer, and education consultant. I am running for one of the two elected seats on the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners because I believe in the power of communities – and especially students – to use their voice to design systems that work for them. I want to ensure that all of those voices are heard when decisions about education are made by the School Board.

I have had the opportunity to work in education policy at every level of government: local, state, and federal. I have also worked with districts around Maryland and the country to help them solve some of their toughest challenges and to implement systems that better support their students with disabilities. It would be an honor to serve my city and my students in this way.
