2023 Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation Fundraiser
We are proud to continue the Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation’s commitment to make mental health a priority in every community, especially those where support is most needed.
Our Foundation is dedicated to reaching underserved communities with unique mental health needs. The Surgeon General recently highlighted the devastating effects of the epidemic of loneliness and isolation. Additionally, new data from the CDC shows that nearly 3 in 5 teen girls feel persistently sad or hopeless - the highest level reported over the past decade. The data also shows that more than half (52%) of LGBTQ+ students experienced poor mental health.
To help meet that need, we are asking our key partners to continue to support the Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation’s mental health programs. Our fundraising will allow us to continue our partnerships with national nonprofits and expand to support the grassroots organizations, providing resources and support to communities that need our help the most, such as adolescent girls, the LGBTQ+ community and communities of color.
Thanks to partners like you, over the past 5 years, we have distributed nearly $6 million in mental health grants, reaching more than 10 million individuals with messages to combat shame and stigma surrounding mental health struggles. More than 650,000 individuals have received direct mental health support from our nonprofit partners.
We hope that you will join us as we continue our mental health mission.
