Assalaamu 'alaikum, and Ramadan Mubarak!
In a society where secular values often overshadow spiritual growth, it can be challenging for our youth to hold onto their faith.
Most of us have immigrated to Canada from Muslim lands, to provide our family a better life economically. However, we collectively face the challenge of raising our kids upon the love and akhlaaq of our Messenger ﷺ.
In a time and place where religion is being abandoned across the board, we are collectively responsible for facilitating an environment where our children can develop meaningful relationships, with other Muslims. Where kids are fulfilling the command Iqra, and are taught to use their education in the path of Allah and his Messenger ﷺ. Where kids are nurtured to become leaders of the ummah, and will one day represent RasulAllah ﷺ, in the workplace and in every aspect of their lives.
My name is Saleh, and I'm one of Shaikh Waleed Almakee's students, and a community volunteer at Noon Academy. Growing up, I faced many challenges going through the public school system. The environment around me didn't encourage the values and teachings of Islam that I held dear. These experiences have fueled my determination to make a positive impact in my community and support others in overcoming similar obstacles. I want to create an environment that will allow our kids to reach their full potential as Muslims and as members of our society!
MY ASK
My beloved brothers and sisters, I've taken the liberty of running my mini-campaign within the greater fundraiser. I humbly ask whoever sees this message, to generously donate, for the sake of your Ummah, and the sake of your akhirah. I would like to raise $3K by the end of Ramadan, which will help cover our $400k deficit. If we can't raise this amount by the end of the month, we risk losing the facility!
If you are as passionate as I am about giving back to your ummah, for leaving a mark on the Earth, and for leaving behind a legacy of ongoing charity, then let's put our hands and hearts together for the current and later generations of Muslims!
