Run for the Cause is collecting miles and funds and raising awareness in order to build a new water system in Liangan, Lanao del Sur, Philippines. The project will include installing water tanks and piping to connect households to a community water source. It is designed to improve water accessibility, promote economic growth, and counter violent extremist recruitment efforts by reducing social unrest and improving living conditions. The need for this project was identified by a large survey done in Liangan in March 2022. Impl. project, a development NGO which has worked in the Philippines for over 7 years, will lead the project implementation. Donate today to support this project! Use this form to document where you're donating from (so we can track our geographic reach) and sign up for updates.
You can also pledge miles to help us reach our goal of collectively running 20,000 miles (if you're not a runner, we also accept walking, biking, rowing, and swimming miles). Use this link to quickly contribute miles. You can come back and add more at any time! All participants in this fundraiser will have access to updates via social media, email, and this page - we're committed to accountability and transparency. Last, we'd love if you could spread the word to your contacts so that we can continue to grow our presence!
