Goal
Hello RugbyTacklingLife community.
2023 has been off to a great start, continuing to build on our goals. This year, we have many goals to achieve, and we need your help!
What will your donation go towards? All things from rugby tournaments, to Sexual Reproductive Health, re-usable pad making, Life Skills sessions, seed planting groups for people with epilepsy, and much more! See more details described below.
This will be an under 19 girls' schools 7s tournament hosted in Kitgum involving teams from Kitgum, Arua, Lira and Gulu. It will have a Life Skills session prior to the tournament and also have a Sexual Reproductive Health and a health outreach carried out by health workers from the health centres during the tournament. The target is to reach 100 girls (the players) directly, then another 300 members of the community through watching the tournament and the health outreach.
This will enable the families that are affected by epilepsy to grow produce for their own consumption thus ensuring that they're able to have the meals that they need as well as be able to sell excess produce.
This will be an under 19 girls' schools 7s tournament hosted in Njeru involving teams from Buikwe, Jinja, Tororo and Mbale. It will have a Life Skills session prior to the tournament and also have a Sexual Reproductive Health and a health outreach carried out by health workers from the health centres during the tournament. The target is to reach 100 girls (the players) directly, then another 300 members of the community through watching the tournament and the health outreach.
This will be carried out in Njeru and will directly target 100 girls. These girls will be taught how to make reusable pads and they will in turn teach others how to make them so indirectly 500 people will be reached.
*•A rugby clinic, SRHR clinic and tournament in a new area in the east - 5M ($1,400)•*
6 schools will be targeted with a minimum of 40 students (girls and boys) will be coached rugby and 6 sports teachers will be taught how to coach rugby during the course of one week. Life Skills sessions will be held alongside the rugby sessions. At the end of one week, a rugby tournament will be held with a girls' category and a boys' category. 200 people will be indirectly reached when they come to watch the tournament.
*•School Fees - 13M ($3,500)•*
This will go directly to school fees for student athletes. In Uganda, despite being 51% of the population, girls have higher school drop out rates or do not attend school. This will target a large number of girls to be able to attend school and play rugby. What could be better?
With your donation we can make all of these tournaments and essential sessions possible.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
