Goal

UPDATE: As of May 6, we reached our initial goal of $20,000! THANK YOU!

100 donors coming together including current athletes and their families, alums, past parents and board members, friends, neighbors and members of our Hingham Community and beyond; stretching from here to the west coast and even across the pond, reaching this point has been no small task! Thank you! Our program can share a collective sigh of relief knowing we have the support needed to continue thriving this spring and beyond. And we can't stop now!

We are thrilled to announce an anonymous donor has stepped forward and agreed to match all donations from this point until the end of the campaign on May 15, up to $10,000!

That is why we have made our new goal $30,000. Every dollar from here until then will be doubled, so we can't slow down now!

Please continue to spread the word about our campaign! Share the link to this page on social media! Reach out to your employer and see if they will match your donation, and make your gift go even further! Lets show our athletes, that when you work together anything as possible. Just as they have to when they are in a boat, and just as Hingham Crew always has!

Wear your PPE (Persevere - Power -Excel) and get through Covid-19 with Hingham High Crew!

Over the last year, our program was turned upside down as we faced challenges related to Covid-19. We were given two options:

1: Shut the program down and wait for the pandemic to be over

2: Work harder than we ever have before to put together a program that was safe, supportive and competitive for our participants

We went with the latter option, and have not looked back since.

Take a look at some of our achievements since the world shut down March 13, 2020:

  1. Developing sound protocols that not only provided our program a safe environment for both indoor and outdoor training, but have been used as an example for Public HS rowing programs across the state of Massachusetts
  2. Successfully ran a big boat (8+s) training program Fall 2020, the ONLY program in the MPSRA conference to do so
  3. Supported a team of over 100 participants, keeping our athletes moving, motivated and healthy throughout the pandemic
  4. Coordinated with other HS programs to put together a full spring 2021 season of racing opportunities, the ONLY MPSRA program to do so

Hingham High School Rowing Association continues to thrive despite Covid-19. It is not without its challenges however, our most glaring issue has been our inability to host any fundraisers over the last year. That is why we need your support! To help push our program forward and continue to provide a fun, safe and rewarding program for our 100+ participants!

Every dollar raised goes right back into our program in maintaining our rowing shells, oars, coaching launches, coxswain equipment and the many other moving parts and needs of our program. Join us today and support out efforts to continue to lead the way for MA public schools in the face of adversity during the pandemic and beyond.
