Your Gift at Work
Land Regeneration & Stewardship
We tend and steward our 1-acre organic community garden while restoring habitat and reducing wildfire risk in our 4-acre oak woodland. Soon, the public will be able to enjoy new woodland trails, teaching areas, and educational signage.
Hands-On Learning
Our two garden educators teach more than 450 TK-5th graders each week or twice a month. Hands-on lessons in decomposition, soil health, pollination, and germination build curiosity, confidence, and a lasting connection to the natural world.
Access to Organic Food
To support healthy eating and food security, we grow over 3,000 - 5,000 pounds of fresh, organic food each year. Students and volunteers harvest it at no cost, community members take part in our free summer U-pick program, and we donate any surplus produce to local food banks.
Community Engagement
To keep our garden and oak woodland thriving, 80 community volunteers, 450 students, 21 teachers, and over 50 parents and caregivers join us for hands-on learning and work in regenerative farming and habitat restoration.
Workforce Development
In partnership with Sonoma County Regional Parks, the Youth Work Crew program provides young adults with hands-on experience and skills that prepare them for careers in environmental science, agriculture, and land stewardship.
