I've seen RiverWatch data put to really good use when trying to describe and understand the impacts of the Gold King Mine spill and the 416 Fire in Durango. Now the EPA is using the historic dataset to inform decisions on legacy mine cleanups in the Upper Animas. This work is so valuable.

I worked with Barb Horn on the Colorado Non Point Source Task Force when Barb was trying to get this program up and running many years ago. Barb has put so much of her time, effort and life into this marvelous program. This is such a unique program that allows students to get hands on learning that can be a benefit to them for the rest of their life. It also provides state decision makers with valuable information to maintain or improve the states waters. It also provides a huge benefit to every citizen living in or visiting are beautiful Rocky Mountain State of Colorado by helping to protect the water resources which we are so blessed to have.
Thanks to all for your continuing efforts.
