Rising Kites

Rising Kites is aiming to raise $100,000 by March 21st - World Down Syndrome Day!

These funds will help them expand employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities, fund 1,500 Rising Kites bags that will be distributed to families new to the Down syndrome community, and expand the Rising Kites space to allow them to offer new programming for individuals with disabilities.

When I was pregnant with Wylie, I was so grateful to receive a Rising Kites bag that provided us with so much valuable information that I wasn't offered from medical providers. The thoughtful bag was a light for us during a challenging time when we were navigating the news of Wylie's diagnosis. 

They also provide employment and job training opportunities to individuals with intellectual disabilities through Rising Kites Coffee. I am so happy to know that a place like this exists and gives me so much hope for Wylie's future! 

Rising Kites celebrates the beauty of Down Syndrome and encourages everyone to see the gift that people with disabilities are to our world. 

If we raise $1,000 or more, we will receive a hand-painted flower in Wylie's honor on their fence at their coffee shop!
