Rising Kites

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day on 3/21 we are joining forces within the Down Syndrome community to help one of our favorite nonprofits- Rising Kites.  Rising Kites is an amazing organization that sends care packages to new and expectant families with a Down Syndrome diagnosis.  These packages often reach these families during a very emotional and uncertain time and provide hope, joy, and a sense of community. Through their outreach they are changing the way people view Down Syndrome and provide the much needed support to families navigating this path.  They also have a new brick and mortar facility to provide people a place to gather, learn, and support each other.  They have big dreams and plan to build a coffee shop to employ people with disabilities. This organization came to me in one of the most difficult times in my life and provided me with so much peace and hope!  One of their goals is that every family (like ours) receive a care package from Rising Kites.  Please join me and help spread the reach of this beautiful organization by considering a donation in honor of World Down Syndrome Day.
