Rider FAQ

Can I view or download the route for the different lengths?

Yes. All routes are loaded in RideWithGPS. Go here to our event page, hosted on the account page of our good friends at TnT Cycling (thanks Jorge!), to RSVP and load the routes into your device. You will get free access to premium paid features when you do so, like turn-by-turn navigation using your phone, and offline downloadable routes.

If you’re not using your phone, we’ve taken the time to mark the routes the old fashion way as follows:

20mi: WHITE flags

40mi: ORANGE flags

63mi: PINK Flags

100mi: RED then BLUE Flags

Are you using TraQCentral for a safer, faster SAG response, and to allow friends and family to follow my progress?

Yes! We’re excited to be modernizing your ride experience this year again. Go here now to download the TraQCentral appadd your info, and search for “Cycling for Care.” And you’re all set! This will allow our command center to monitor your location during the ride, send you instant emergency updates, give you the ability to share photos and live route progress with friends and family, and most importantly: dispatch SAG support to you with precision (saving you time and frustration), and much more!

How can I signal SAG support?

You can contact the command center for help with a single tap in the TraQCentral app. So we ask that you have TraQCentral setup and linked to Cycling for Care before the ride so that we can dispatch the nearest support vehicle to your exact location immediately. Tap here, go to CHFC.us/TQC, or scan the QR below with your mobile device now to download from the app store:

If you find that data coverage is inadequate, as a back-up option, dial 856-600-6514 to reach the ride command center. (Texting will not work)

Please note: Our SAG team will only transport you back to the ride’s start. They are unable to perform any bike maintenance. There may be local bike shop mechanics on stand-by at the start, but their availability will be limited, and their presence is not guaranteed.

Will there be rest stops?

Yes. There will be a rest stop that each route will run through, and additional stops exclusive to particularly longer routes. (Refer to the Ride-with-GPS link above for rest stops relative to the route you choose to ride). Expect each stop to be staffed and stocked with water, snacks, and portable facilities.

Rest stop 1: Crosswicks Creek Park, County Route 537, Upper Freehold, NJ 08514

Rest Stop 2: Springfield Township Veterans Memorial Park.

(The address nearest the field is: Springfield Twp Veteran's Memorial Park, 17 Island Rd, Jobstown, NJ 08041Please note: this is an address to the house across the street, as the ball field itself doesn’t seem to have one listed. The rest stop is not at someone’s home. Please don’t ring/knock on their door.)

Rest stop #3: Russo’s Fruit & Vegetable Farm, 529 Medford Lakes Rd, Tabernacle, NJ 08088

Rest stop #4: Wawa, 257 NJ-70, Medford, NJ 08055

Do we start and stop at the same place?

Yes. All the routes are circular and you will start and stop at Budds KnP Farm. There is an amazing country store and market here as well.

Will there be food before and after the ride at Budd’s KnP?

Yes. The Budd’s family has prepared a variety of food items for us. There will be food available before, during, and after the ride. (Make sure to try Mrs. Renee Budd’s famous eggplant parm!) This year’s menu:

Where can we park?

Budds KnP has parking for us, straight back through the entrance.

What time does the ride begin? And when do you stop providing support?

The ride will begin at 8am, but you are encouraged to arrive earlier at 7:30 to prepare your gear and grab a bite to eat before getting in the saddle.

All rest stations will be unstaffed and SAG support will conclude by 3pm. However, you are welcome to patronize Budds KnP, rest stops that are public businesses such as WaWa, etc. according to their availability and hours thereafter.

How do I fund raise and what are the prizes?

Helping the uninsured doesn’t stop after the ride! You can keep going the distance until the end of May by creating a campaign to help your friends and family support your efforts. Go here to start your own fundraiser for Cycling for Care now.

Not to mention that every dollar you raise goes directly towards helping a patient in need.

I’m not yet sure if I can make it, what’s the deadline to register?

We’ll be keeping registration open until the ride begins. So feel free to register whenever is convenient, before you show up for the ride. If you can’t make it, consider making a donation to support the cause, and even starting your own fundraiser.

What’s your plan if it rains?

We’re riding rain or shine.
