Support Our Writers!

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat serves a unique role for musical theatre writers in the long process of developing their musicals. We give them a private home in the Hudson Valley countryside, where they live together for one week and do nothing but write. We cover all of the writers' costs and pay them a stipend, and take no share of future royalties.

We rely 100% on donors like you to provide writers with the space, time, and resources to develop their craft and bring new musical to life through our Summer Residencies and Triple R: 2 Readings and a Residency.

We are now accepting gifts via stock transfer. Donating appreciated stocks can be a tax-efficient way to make a charitable contribution. You can take the market value of the stock on the day of the transfer as your charitable deduction, and you can avoid capital gains tax from selling the stock. Check with your tax advisor first and, if interested, email us at info@rhinebeckwriters.org for instructions on stock transfers.
