RFC Food Truck!

Recipe for Change is a program designed to give dignity and opportunity to the detainees of Cook County Jail through an introduction to healthy food, good nutrition, and the art of quality cooking. Through our culinary education, internship, and fine arts programs, participants learn the importance of teamwork, focus, and accountability. Up until now, all of our programming has been inside the jail. The RFC Food Truck will allow us to share our mission and impact stories to folks outside the walls we work in as well as serve as an employment opportunity for recently released students. 

Last fall we raised the funds necessary to buy our food truck. Now we are moving full steam ahead to outfit our truck with the supplies needed for success. Thanks to the Lavin Family Foundation, all donations made towards the food truck will be matched up to $50,000!
