Donate to Support Mental Health Advocacy & Education
Consider the following:
Suicide is now the 2nd leading cause of death for youth from 10 to 34 years old and the 10th leading cause of death in the US overall. More than 90% of people who die by suicide show symptoms of a mental health condition, and yet nearly 60% of adults in the US with a mental illness do not receive any treatment. In a recent study done by the CDC, 40.9% of 5,470 respondents reported an adverse mental or behavioral health condition in relation to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With statistics like this only increasing in severity, the need for mental health support is greater than ever before!
How we solve this crisis:
Rethink Mental Health Incorporated, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to improving the way society views and treats people suffering with mental health issues, especially children and young adults. As a result of our initiatives, more people can speak openly about what they are experiencing and seek professional help without fear of stigmatization, discrimination or harassment. Our flagship initiative is the H.E.A.R.T. Program, a mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum program that improves the way youth between the ages of 10 and 15 treat others and themselves.
How you can help:
We often see mental health movements that promote awareness, but at Rethink Mental Health Incorporated we believe the time for awareness has long passed. Now is the time for advocacy, education, and most of all empowerment so no one has to feel alone or isolated in their struggles with mental health. Rethink Mental Health Incorporated has designed it’s initiatives to achieve this, but we cannot do it alone.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on support from generous supporters like you to drive our ongoing mental health initiatives and allow us to offer the H.E.A.R.T. Curriculum to schools in underprivileged communities at little to no cost. Rethink Mental Health Incorporated is dedicated to improving the lives of the 1 in 5 people who suffer from mental health issues, but we can't do it alone... Our slogan is "Together, Empowerment IS Possible" because with your support, involvement or donation, we can and will make a difference! That is our mission and that is our promise!
