restorativland

A project to excavate shut down, abandoned web ruins and restore them to surfable, accessible, searchable, remixable condition.

Somewhere between a library and a museum, we're working on experimental new ways to close the gap between archival and visibility of the web that was lost.

This work involves a lot of processing on millions of files, and requires servers with dozens of terabytes of storage, neither of which are cheap. Your support helps us get the equipment (hard drives, higher end CPUs) and bandwidth required to do our work and sustain our hosting bills.

All supporters will receive:

  • Early beta access to new releases
  • Regular updates on current progress
  • Your name with link on restorativland web site
  • Weird stickers we send you in the mail (US only)
