This year we've expanded our reach in the community. We've added a 6th Closet, we're fulfilling more porch drop-off requests than ever before, and Closets are being restocked at a much higher rate. Our operating costs have increased 20% this year alone.
We want to ensure that we're able to maintain our restock schedule and continue to have money to buy specially requested items for those who need them.
Our low barrier to support and no questions asked approach allows us to be flexible in the community, for example, if a teacher at a school needs underwear and pads for a student, we can go buy what they need that day. If a family reaches out and asks for laundry supplies, period products and shampoo we can do that ASAP. No lengthy paperwork or financial approval process. We know how time sensitive these situations can be.
Hygiene and period poverty have an immense effect on children and adults. Academically, socially, and financially. It's a largely invisible need and an expensive one.
By donating to Teen Clean Closet you can make a direct impact on reducing hygiene and period poverty in our community. We're immensely grateful for any and all donations. If you can't donate sharing our fundraiser with your family or friends is greatly appreciated.
Thank you! 💛
