Reproductive Justice in Adoption (RJiA)* is a collective of birth/first parents and adopted people working to significantly increase bodily autonomy and self-determination for pregnant people considering adoption or navigating the billion-dollar adoption industry where misinformation, disinformation, pressure, and coercion are rampant.

As more and more people are being forced to carry pregnancies to term in an ever-tightening reproductive landscape, it is imperative that pregnant people navigating the adoption industry have open access to comprehensive information, options counseling, resources, mutual aid, and peer support that are not connected to entities with a financial or moral interest in their reproductive decisions.** This does not currently exist.

Thanks to a generous seed grant in 2023, we are nearing the end of our research phase and moving into platform and program development, with an anticipated Fall 2025 beta launch.
Can you help us get there?
Our new $75,000 goal will pay for:
- Ongoing compensation for directly-impacted people in our participatory design process
- Paying our website development and digital security team
- Launching our options counseling and peer support hotline
- Training our first co-hort of peer support specialists and options counselors
- Project management, digital strategy, and general operating costs
