REGULAR CXC TRAIL SKI PASS
TRAILHEAD LOCATION & HOURS
The CXC Trailhead is located at 4355 Schwartz Rd, Middleton, WI 53562. Operating hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., beginning December 1 through March 15.
Due to ongoing construction of the Middleton Nordic Center Trailhead Lodge, access to the cross-country ski trail will now be from the southwest corner of the parking lot. The temporary trail entrance is marked with flags and is just a short walk from the parking area. A portable restroom is available at the trailhead.
The machine-made snow loop at the CXC Outdoor Community Center is lit at night and will open as soon as the weather allows for snowmaking, with an anticipated start date of December 1. A ski pass is required to access the CXC Trail System, including cross-country ski trails throughout Pleasant View Golf Course. Please have your pass displayed visibly on you at all times while skiing!

SKI PASS TYPES
From December 1 to March 15, use of the CXC Trail System requires a purchased trail ski pass. CXC provides a revocable, temporary license to access the trail system to the named holder of the pass.
CXC offers two pass options based on the type of snow coverage:
Regular CXC Trail Ski Pass
(for trails with natural snow coverage)
The Regular CXC Trail Ski Pass grants access to the entire groomed CXC Trail, including the cross-country ski trails on the Pleasant View Golf Course. However, it does not include access to the machine-made snow loop when natural snow is unavailable on the trails.
All-Access CXC Trail Ski Pass
(for trails with machine-made and natural snow coverage)
All-Access CXC Trail Ski Pass provides entry to the entire groomed CXC Trail system, including the cross-country ski trails at Pleasant View Golf Course. It also includes access to the machine-made snow loop, which is groomed and tracked before natural snow conditions allow grooming elsewhere. An All-Access Pass or daily pass is required to use the machine-made loop at any time. Revenue from pass sales helps offset the costs of snowmaking and ongoing trail maintenance.
We depend on the revenue from all ski passes to ensure that the CXC Trail system remains among the top cross-country ski destinations in Southern Wisconsin. Please ensure every skier in your family has the appropriate ski pass displayed visibly on them at all times while skiing.
WHERE / HOW TO PURCHASE PASSES
• Online at https://center.cxcskiing.org

All annual passes will be mailed within 10-15 business days of purchase. In the meantime, your purchase receipt will serve as your pass. Seasonal passes are personalized with each skier’s name, and we ask that you keep your pass visible at all times while skiing!
EARLY SEASON SKIING
The machine-made snow loop at the CXC Center will be open as soon as the weather is appropriate for snowmaking. Operating hours are 8 am to 8 pm. Follow and stay updated with the most recent groomer-generated trail reports!
