I live in the Uk and am making this donation in memory pf my paternal grandmother, Gerda Martens (born Eskorbier) who fled Koenigsberg (now Kaliningrad) ahead of the advancing Russian army towards the end of WWII. The reputation of the Russian army for rape, pillage and worse was well known then, and it seems little has changed. The courageous (and hugely inventive) Ukranians are fighting for all of us in Europe and it is about time we all woke up to this fact and acknowledged it more widely. Slava Ukraini!!
