The Crisis
On October 28th,2025, Hurricane Melissa, a catastrophic Category 5 storm, tore through Jamaica, leaving behind a trail of destruction, displacing families, damaging schools, and shattering futures. Rural communities, already underserved, have been hit hardest, with children now without safe shelter, basic resources, or functioning classrooms.
For One Child is stepping in, but we can’t do it without you.
Our Mission
We are committed to providing:
Rebuilding Support: For damaged school buildings and homes.
Emergency Supplies: Including backpacks, learning kits, and basic furnishings.
Safe Learning Spaces: So children can return to school and a sense of normalcy.

Providing roofing and structural support for damaged classrooms
Delivering backpacks and school supplies to displaced children
Supporting families with emergency shelter kits
