HRCCS Read-A-Thon 2024

Support a Student and Support our School!

Mark your calendars for the HRCCS 2024 Read-A-Thon: 

8AM, January 22, 2024 through 5pm, February 2, 2024!

Update: 

78 out of 116 students have logged over 69,200 reading minutes.   

38 of them have raised $4217.    

Your Donation:

This year, 98% of your donation goes directly to the PTO to support our teachers and students with a variety of educational enrichment opportunities.  Last year, we were able to put $7500 to use on awesome student activities.  We'd love to provide those opportunities again with your support!

Contributions can also be made by check, made out to the HRCCS PTO, left in the office 

Your donation is never too late to help!

Fees: 

We're charged no fee for contributions made by check.  

We're charged about 2% for credit card processing - thank you to those that choose to cover that fee!

Last year we were charged a 25% cut of all donations.  

This year, we're happy to cut that down to a max of 2%.

Competition and Rewards:

• Donations on behalf of a student lets them choose another bookmark for their collection!
• The top 3 readers in each classroom score gift cards for yogurt or movie tickets.
• Earn a budget for your classroom based on rankings in minutes read and donations collected - a percentage of the total school donations!
• The top 3 classrooms in reading minutes will get to enjoy a choice of party: pizza, ice-cream, or refreshments.
• The top 3 students in each classroom will receive personalized medals for their Read-a-Thon ranks.
• Schoolwide honors: the top 3 individuals in the school, for reading minutes, will have their names engraved on a plaque in the office!
